Welcome to the Booragul Public School web-site.
We will make available here the most up to date and relevant information about our school. We are part of the Hunter Central Coast School Education Groups (HCC 6) in Lake Macquarie.
Our student enrolment is approximately 250 with a dedicated, professional staff of twenty who ensure that dynamic and effective teaching and learning programs are in place for our school community.
Our literacy programs include a focus on “Accelerating Literacy” from Kindergarten to Year 6 which is providing strong outcomes across the school particularly within the area of writing.
Our numeracy programs provide an emphasis on “Working Mathematically” and contextual learning so that students are able to see the significance of mathematical concepts in application.
Students at Booragul are developing effective skills in technology while enhancing their learning across all key learning areas. A school intranet is keenly utilised by staff and students in all aspects of learning while some classes are currently trialling wikis as interactive class sites.
